Ok, before you click on this link, I don't find any of the content on this site particularly funny. However, this is one person's perception of the tenderloin neighborhood. Needless to say, a very cynical one. The poor attempt at humor and the gratuitous shock content stand as one person's (or group of people) method of dealing with a difficult reality.

nate - i'm glad you posted this. i think that the condition brought up in this website in addition to our own personal experiences in the tl neighborhood are what make this project so challenging. or more importantly, it provides an opportunity to suggest a socially responsible architecture - something i think is equally as important as ecologically responsible architecture ... (stepping down from soapbox now)
